Do you believe in GOD?

One Of The Best Arguments.!! I have ever read

Don’t miss even a single word…. It’s Too good

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty.
He asks one of his new students to stand and…..

Prof: So you believe in God?

Student: Absolutely, sir.

Prof: Is God good?

Student: Sure.

Prof: Is God all-powerful?

Student: Yes..

Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn’t. How is this God good then? Hmm?
(Student is silent.)

Prof: You can’t answer, can you? Let’s start again, young fella. Is God good?

Student: Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?

Student: No.

Prof: Where does Satan come from?

Student: From….God…

Prof: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student: Yes.

Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it? And God did make everything. Correct?

Student: Yes.

Prof: So who created evil?
(Student does not answer.)

Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student: Yes, sir.

Prof: So, who created them?
(Student has no answer.)

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son…Have you ever seen God?

Student: No, sir.

Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?

Student: No, sir.

Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?

Student: No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student: Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn’t exist.
What do you say to that, son?

Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.

Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.

Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Prof: Yes.

Student: And is there such a thing as cold?

Prof: Yes.

Student: No sir. There isn’t.
(The lecture the after becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat..
But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it .
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright
light, flashing light…..But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it’s called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can’t even explain a thought.. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is
not the opposite of life: just the absence of it.
Now tell me, Professor.Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)

Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher? (The class is in uproar.)

Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student: That is it sir… The link between man & god is FAITH . That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

I believe you have enjoyed the conversation…and if so…you’ll probably want your friends/colleagues to enjoy the same…won’t you?….this is a true story, and the
student was none other than …….

How did you choose him/her?

I suddenly remembered a mythological story that I read long time ago. It is a very long story with so many events happening, each carrying its on moral value. I remembered this particular scene, which I found very meaningful, and i can't stop myself from sharing it here. So the scene goes like this:

A prince of a country were told by his father, the King to leave the country for some time and to experience the life of a normal person. He followed the King's instruction and began his journey. I don't exactly remember every single details of the story but the story line basically is something like this. On the way, he stopped at another country where the whole nation were talking about something. Then he found out that the King of that country was actually looking for a bridegroom for his Princess. She was such a good looking girl, since she was the only child for the King, everything that belonged the to King, will be hers one day. So lots of of people came and approached the King but the King was looking for someone special. So what did the King do is he organised a competition: He brought out a bow which was made of gold and put it in front of his palace. The bow was f.heavy and taller than a normal man which made people hard tohold it alone. Now the challenge was, the King announced that who ever can successfully break the bow into half, can marry the Princess. So many people came and tried. All the Princes from all over the world came and tried. Some of them were really very handsome. Some of them were very rich. But none of them won the Princess's heart. because none of them managed to break the bow into half. So its was such a coincidence that our hero Prince were passing by the country. He fall in love at first sight with the Princess and decided to give it a try. Amazingly He managed to break the bow into half, after struggling for some time. Princess was so happy and King announced their marriage straight away.

Now, the story may seem crazy and not logical, but when I read the synopsis for this part, there are actually some good things to learn from here. First lets look at it from the Princess's point of view. She was a Princess and she had lots of money. And there were so many good looking and rich Princes were dying to marry her. She could have simply chose one of them, but she didn't do that. She only agreed to marry our hero Prince because of his achievement he had done. Here, the Princess did choose by money, look or status. The Prince did not tell her at that time he was a Prince. So obviously the money and the status were never reasons for that. And since he needed to keep his identity secret, he was wearing some old cloths which made made him did not look good. So look is out of the box also. So what was it?

It was his capability or talent or what ever thing that you want to call it. First, she appreciated the talent that he had. When everyone failed in breaking the bow, he managed to do it. Secondly, after so many people failed in breaking the bow, he still had the courage and confident to try. Thirdly, although he struggled, he didn't quit half way. He went all out to break it in order to marry the girl he liked. So what the scene tells is: every guy should have a talent, so girls, appreciate that talent, because he is living his life the way he wants. Always look for boys who live their life confidently and who have courage to face difficulties. And if a guy really likes you, he will be willing to do anything for you. So this is how basically girls should choose their partners.

But the part that really impressed me was how guys can get the girls they like. Rewind the story for a while. Rich Guy = NO. Good Looking Guy =NO. Status as Prince = NO. You break the bow and I marry you. So, guys, forget about money, forget about your handsome face, and forget about your status. If you want her, then achieve something. He had the power to break the bow when all others failed to do so. You should have something in you that others don't have, find it and achieve in that field. This is what makes you special than others to her.

So, good luck for those who are chasing....

The Law of Disgusting Acts

Most of the time when we see certain things or people, we say that it's disgusting. This is because the act the person cause us an intense dislike. It's either we don't like to see it or the act itself really bad. For example, when we see some girls who try to act cute when they are not cute at all. That's really disgusting (very disgusting!). Or when we see our ex hugging her new bf in a public place, that's disgusting as well (even more disgusting than 1st example!).

But, the question, when we something is disgusting, is it the thing itself is disgusting or just we feel that it's disgusting? The act itself is disgusting when it is of really bad standard. Let's take the 1st example. The act of acting cute when they are not cute is really disgusting. So we look at it we feel disgusting. So this is an external problem.

There are some situations where we say it's disgusting because we feel it is disgusting. This is an internal problem. Second example will be the best explaination to this situation. We see our ex close with another guy, we don't to see it, our brain cannot accept it(especially when you are still single but your ex got another guy), that's why we say it's disgusting. Lets say we see another couple that we don't know hugging in public place, will we feel it is disgusting to the same extend? Maybe not. So it is we that interpret it as disgusting.

There are two test to help us to determine whether the thing itself is disgusting or it's just we that feel it that way. 1st test is reasonable man's test. When we feel something is disgusting, try to ask friends around us whether they feel the same way or not. If yes then it's true that it is disgusting. If no then it is you that feel it disgusting.

Second test is to put another in that situation and imagine that if the another do the same thing, will you feel like want to slap him/her? If yes then it is disgusting ( you can slap that person). If no then it's your own feeling.

Conclusion, whenever you feel something is disgusting, alwyas turn back and ask whether it is really disgusting or it's just you feel it that way. Use the two test above to help you determine.

DEALING with INSULT….Lord Buddha

The Buddha explained how to handle insult and maintain compassion.
One day Buddha was walking through a village.
A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him.
“You have no right teaching others,” he shouted.
“You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake.”
Buddha was not upset by these insults.
Instead he asked the young man “Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?”
The man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, “It would belong to me, because I bought the gift.”
The Buddha smiled and said, “That is correct.
And it is exactly the same with your anger.
If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you.
You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me.
All you have done is hurt yourself.”
“If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead.
When you hate others, you yourself become unhappy.
But when you love others, everyone is happy.”
The young man listened closely to these wise words of the Buddha.
“You are right, o Enlightened One, “he said.
“Please teach me the path of love. I wish to become your follower.”
The Buddha answered kindly, “Of course. I teach anyone who truly wants to learn. Come with me.”

KARAK HIGHWAY...

Based on a real incident....

It was late at night when a young couple and their baby was travelling in a car along the Karak Highway. They were trying to get home, like the rest of the other Malaysians because it was nearing festive season. And like the many other Malaysians, they choose to travel at night to avoid the traffic jam and also the heat of the sun when noon gets in the way.

As they were travelling along the lonely stretch of Karak Highway, suddenly, the car gave a sudden jerk and started making weird noises. The husband was fairly surprised because he remembered to check the car before travelling long distance to ensure the safety of his family. Soon, they had no choice but to stop by the roadside. The husband got out of the car to check the car engine while his wife and baby was waiting in the car. After a few minutes, he came back and reported that he could not see anything wrong and tried starting the car again. However, the car just would not budge. At loss, the husband made a difficult decision to either wait until another car comes along or walk to the nearest phone booth.

Not wanting to leave his family behind, they waited. After some 20 minutes or so, the highway remained quiet. The husband wondered why was there such calmity on the highway when festive celebrations are just around the corner. Perhaps it was due to the late night, he thought to himself. After what seemed like eternity, the husband decided to take the second option.
Advising his wife to lock the doors and take care, he left them behind with a heavy heart. His wife, on the other hand, watched her husband walk away with worries on her mind. She prayed hard that someone would eventually notice their stalled car and offer help. She was also worried that accidents might happen.

Hours passed by and soon she started getting even more worried. She was worried something might happen to her husband. Worried, she fought with herself over if she should just keep on waiting or leave the car behind and look for her husband. But where should she start looking? In the end, she decided to get out of the car to stretch her legs. As soon as she came out of the car, she realized that something was staring at her from behind. As she turned, she saw the bodiless head of her husband with his eyes and mouth wide open as if in shock staring back at her. Til this day, no one has found the remains of his body.

‘Mastika’ , (a Malay Magazine that resembled Readers Digest) did cover the story about this. They had interviews with some veteran policemen who actually were at the scene and involved in the investigation of the case..but not single one of them want to share and exposed the ending. It’s like a really big confidential case and no one in the police department dare to open their mouth.. X-file, perhaps?

Making a girl...

Making a girl happy is not simple as what we as a man might be thinking.
A girl is such a very sensitive woman. I hope these tips could help you how to treat your girlfriend.

1. Say your sorry if you make mistakes. Women appreciate a man who can admit when they are wrong and say sorry for something they have done.

2. Set up date nights for each other, and spend special alone time with each other. She will love that you make an effort to spend time with her and treat her special.

3. Surprise her whenever possible. She will love it if you bring home flowers, kiss her out of the blue or surprise her with a nice dinner. Women appreciate when men show effort.

4. Try to stay interested and focused on what she is saying. Women can tell when you are bored or not interested in what they have to say. Focus and listen actively.

5. Laugh whenever she makes a joke. Laugh together. She will like the fact that she can make you smile and laugh when she speaks. Don't overdo it, though, because it needs to be natural.

6. Try to be kind when she makes a mistake or does something that you are not used too. Let her be her own person, and accept her for her faults. Treat her with respect and love.

7. Show interest in her hobbies, and try to get involved in them with her. Also, always be honest with your girl. Good communication skills will keep your trust level in your relationship healthy and make her happy.

When You Divorce Me, Carry Me Out In Your Arms

On my wedding day, I carried my wife in my arms.

The bridal car stopped in front of our one-room flat.

My buddies insisted that I carry her out of the car in my arms. So I carried her into our home. She was then plump and shy.

I was a strong and happy bridegroom.

This was the scene ten years ago.

The following days were as simple as a cup of pure water: we had a kid; I went into business and tried to make more money.

When the assets were steadily increasing, the affection between us seemed to lessen.

She was a civil servant.

Every morning we left home together and got home almost at the same time.

Our kid was studying in a boarding school.

Our marriage life seemed to be enviably happy.

But the calm life was more likely to be affected by unpredictable changes.

Dew came into my life.

It was a sunny day. I stood on a spacious balcony. Dew hugged me from behind.

My heart once again was immersed in her stream of love.

This was the apartment I bought for her.

Dew said, you are the kind of man who best draws girls' eyeballs.

Her words suddenly reminded me of my wife.

When we were just married, my wife said, Men like you, once successful, will be very attractive to girls.

Thinking of this, I became somewhat hesitant.

I knew I had betrayed my wife.

But I couldn't help doing so.

I moved Dew's hands aside and said you go to select some furniture, O.K.? I've got something to do in the company.

Obviously she was unhappy because I had promised to do it together with her.

At the moment, the idea of divorce became clearer in my mind although it used to be something impossible to me.

However, I found it rather difficult to tell my wife about it. No matter how mildly I mentioned it to her, she would be deeply hurt.

Honestly, she was a good wife. Every evening she was busy preparing dinner. I was sitting in front of the TV. The dinner was ready soon.

Then we watched TV together.

Or, I was lounging before the computer, visualizing Dew's body.

This was the means of my entertainment.

One day I said to her in a slightly joking way, suppose we divorce, what will you do? She stared at me for a few seconds without a word.

Apparently she believed that divorce was something too far away from her. I couldn't imagine how she would react once she got to know I was serious.

When my wife went to my office, Dew had just stepped out. Almost all the staff looked at my wife with a sympathetic eye and tried to hide something while talking to her.

She seemed to have got some hint. She gently smiled at my subordinates. But I read some hurt in her eyes.

Once again, Dew said to me, He Ning, divorce her, O.K.? Then we live together.

I nodded. I knew I could not hesitate any more.

When my wife served the last dish, I held her hand. I've got something to tell you, I said.

She sat down and ate quietly.

Again I observed the hurt in her eyes. Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth.

But I had to let her know what I was thinking.

I want a divorce. I raised the serious topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This so-called answer made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man!

That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage.

But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer, because my heart had gone to Dew.

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. I felt a pain in my heart.

The woman who had been living ten years with me would become a stranger one day.

But I could not take back what I had said.

Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see.

To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer.

Late that night, I came back home after entertaining my clients. I saw her writing something at the table.

I fall asleep fast. When I woke up, I found she was still there. I turned over and was asleep again.

She brought up her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but I was supposed to give her one month's time before divorce, and in the month's time we must live as normal a life as possible.

Her reason was simple: our son would finish his summer vacation a month later and she didn't want him to see our marriage was broken.

She passed me the agreement she drafted, and then asked me, He Ning, do you still remember how I entered our bridal room on the wedding day?

This question suddenly brought back all those wonderful memories to me. I nodded and said, I remember.

You carried me in your arms, she continued, so, I have a requirement, that is, you carry me out in your arms on the day when we divorce. From now to the end of this month, you must carry me out from the bedroom to the door every morning.

I accepted with a smile. I knew she missed those sweet days and wished to end her marriage romantically.

I told Dew about my wife s divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she does, she has to face the result of divorce, she said scornfully.

Her words more or less made me feel uncomfortable. My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed.

We even treated each other as a stranger. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms.

His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms.

She closed her eyes and said softly,Let us start from today, don't tell our son.

I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door.

She went to wait for a bus, I drove to the office. On the second day, both of us acted much more easily.

She leaned on my chest. We were so close that I could smell the fragrance of her blouse.

I realized that I hadn't looked at this intimate woman carefully for a longtime. I found she was not young any more.

There were some fine wrinkles on her face. On the third day, she whispered to me, the outside garden is being demolished. Be careful when you pass there.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I seemed to feel that we were still an intimate couple and I was holding my sweetheart in my arms.

The visualization of Dew became vague. On the fifth and sixth day, she kept reminding me something, such as, where she put the ironed shirts, I should be careful while cooking, etc.

I nodded. The sense of intimacy was even stronger. I didn't tell Dew about this.

I felt it was easier to carry her.

Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger. I said to her, It seems not difficult to carry you now.

She was picking her dresses. I was waiting to carry her out. She tried quite a few but could not find a suitable one.

Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I smiled. But I suddenly realized that it was because she was thinner that I could carry her more easily, not because I was stronger.

I knew she had buried all the bitterness in her heart. Again, I felt a sense of pain.

Subconsciously I reached out a hand to touch her head.

Our son came in at the moment. Dad, it's time to carry mum out. He said.

To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had been an essential part of his life.

She gestured our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face because I was afraid I would change my mind at the last minute.

I held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway.

Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly, as if we came back to our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad.

On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step.

Our son had gone to school.

She said, actually I hope you will hold me in your arms until we are old.

I held her tightly and said, both you and I didn't notice that our life lacked intimacy.

I jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my decision.

I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door.

I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I won't divorce. I'm serious.

She looked at me, astonished.

The she touched my forehead.

You have no fever, she said.

I moved her hand off my head.

Sorry, Dew, I said, I can only say sorry to you, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of life, not because we didn't love each other any more. Now I understand that since I carried her into the home, she gave birth to our child, I am supposed to hold her until I am old. So I have to say sorry to you.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears.

I walked downstairs and drove to the office.

When I passed the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet for my wife which was her favorite.

The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote: I'll carry you out every morning until we are old.

The End
